Sculptra + Radiesse

Sculptra®
Build gradually. Restore progressively.
Sculptra is made with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and is designed to stimulate collagen production. Rather than creating a finished result immediately, Sculptra is used to support gradual restoration as new collagen develops over time. It may be recommended when the goal is broader facial restoration rather than correction of one isolated area.

Radiesse®
Support now. Stimulate over time.
Radiesse is made with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. It can provide immediate volume and structural support after placement while also stimulating collagen as the treatment evolves. Radiesse may be selected when more immediate structural support is part of the goal.

Common questions
What's the difference between Sculptra and Radiesse?
Both are injectable biostimulators, but they use different materials and behave differently after injection. Sculptra uses poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and is designed around gradual collagen stimulation. Radiesse uses calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) and can provide immediate structural support while also stimulating collagen.
How are biostimulators different from filler?
Traditional hyaluronic acid filler is commonly used to immediately restore volume or precisely contour an area. Biostimulators are selected when collagen stimulation and longer-term structural improvement are important parts of the treatment goal.
Will I see results immediately?
It depends on the product. Radiesse can provide visible volume and structural support immediately after treatment. Sculptra results develop more gradually as collagen production increases.
How many treatments will I need?
There isn't one standard treatment series. Your provider will recommend the appropriate number of sessions and amount of product based on your starting anatomy, product selected, and desired result.
How long do results last?
Longevity varies by product, treatment area, treatment plan, and individual response. Your provider will discuss the expected timeline for the product recommended for you.
Are Sculptra and Radiesse reversible?
No. Unlike hyaluronic acid filler, Sculptra and Radiesse cannot simply be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Product selection, placement, and treatment planning are therefore especially important.
Can I combine biostimulators with Botox or filler?
Yes, when appropriate. Each injectable addresses something different. Your provider may recommend combining treatments when muscle movement, targeted volume loss, facial structure, and collagen loss are contributing to your concerns.
Is there downtime?
Injection-site swelling, redness, tenderness, and bruising can occur. Other risks depend on the product and treatment area and will be reviewed before treatment.
